Prediction: These Will Be the It Shoes of Spring 2017

If Coco Chanel knew that her eponymous fashion house would one day be designing athletic pool slides, she’d probably roll over in her grave at the thought of a flat shoe that wasn’t a ballet flat bearing her name. But if she knew they were the chicest pool slides $700 can buy, she might think again. 

Part of Chanel’s Resort 17 cruise collection, which showed in Cuba, the satin (a major shoe trend for spring) and rubber slides are adorned with Chanel’s signature chains. They come in a rainbow assortment of hues that are sure to complement every spring look, and they are likely one of the most comfortable shoe styles the brand has ever endorsed. 

Given the popularity of the footwear Chanel releases each season (e.g., the slingbacks and stiletto mules that everyone was wearing at fashion week), we think it’s safe to say that athleisure- (and Chanel-) loving fashion girls will be clamoring for this new release.
