One of Vans’ most storied collaborators is back for fall/winter ’16 with a fresh Native American-inspired collection.
Japanese designer Taka Hayashi’s 15th Vans collection will arrive in select stores next weekend, and it features a variety of silhouettes and colors. Here, the longterm partnership manifests itself in the form of a eight-piece Vault by Vans collection that draws inspiration from Hayashi’s travels, penchant for Native American culture and knack for intricate detailing.
“The skilled designer, painter and stalwart for Native American influence continues to build on his legacy of unique designs for Vans, in both his signature line as well as for Vans in-line product design,” the brand stated.
Whether you’re looking for a dash of vibrant color or something more subdued, this Taka Hayashi x Vault by Vans collection has it all. The collaboration is highlighted by the moccasin-like TH Chukka Nomad LX (pictured above) in black, brown and taupe colorways. Elsewhere, the Vans Sk8-Hi gets reimagined as the TH Court Hi LX in black, navy and red colorways.
Rounding out this Taka Hayashi x Vault by Vans collaboration is the TH Court Lo Strap LX, a low-top sneaker with patterned velcro straps across its forefoot. The TH Court Lo Strap LX is offered in white/navy and brown/off-white colorways.
The complete Vault by Vans x Taka Hayashi collection will be available at select Vault by Vans retailers starting Saturday.
